One of the reasons I love living in Atlanta is that there is so much to do at any point and time. Whether it’s spring and you’re looking for great music events, or even fall and you want to find great fall activities to do with your littles, Atlanta has something for every season and occasion. When Christmas time hits the city, there are so many Christmas events in Atlanta do with your kids that you’ll get through the season and have plenty of fun and make many memories!

Georgia Aquarium Holiday Tree Lighting

The Georgia Aquarium is a major attraction here in Atlanta, and is a place that locals as well as tourists visit. For Christmas, they hold a Holiday Tree Lighting event that is great for the entire family, including your kids. Things they have on deck include hot chocolate, holiday treats, holiday carols, a tree lighting ceremony and a even a penguin waddle! I’m not a kid, but that’s something that even I want to see for myself!

Holiday Bricktacular at Legoland

LEGOLAND is a place here in the city of Atlanta that the kids love. For the month of December, they host the Holiday Bricktacular where there is a LEGO wonderland, complete with a LEGO Santa, photo opportunities, and a host of fun activities for the entire family!

Holiday Ride On Train at Botanical Gardens

The Atlanta Botanical Gardens has many beautufil things to see year round, but during the holidays you should check out one of the great Christmas events in Atlanta they host, which is the Holiday Ride-On Train. The tickets are super affordable, at just $5, and the train runs from the morning to the late afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays through mid-January.

Visit Santa and The Grinch at Ponce City Market

Most who live in Atlanta have visited Ponce City Market. It’s a great place known for it’s shops and restaurants that’s located right on the Belt Line. This year, your littles can visit Santa as well as The Grinch. The great part about these Christmas events in Atlanta are that they are free, and you don’t have to wait in line. Yep, that’s right! Once you arrive, you’re signed into a digital line. That way you can shop till you drop, and get a bite to eat before you get a notification that it’s your turn! You can’t beat that.

Bubble Bash at Children’s Museum of Atlanta

Though mostly to celebrate after Christmas Events have passed, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta doesn’t leave out the kiddos for celebrating the new year. They have a lot to look forward to as well! Join in on the fun at the annual Bubble Bash at the Children’s Museum of Atlanta for a bubble filled fun day that includes a dance party, bubble-wrap fire works, special guests, and much more. It’ll be 2 and a half hours of fun that should get your little one riled up enough to work up a good nap!
