The More Than a Mommy! Mission
Becoming a mother is both the most rewarding, yet challenging experience I’ve ever had in life. As a woman who is a high achiever and has always been goal oriented, I struggled between having mommy guilt and feeling as though I couldn’t do the things I wanted to do for myself. There were also times when I doubted myself, and questioned if I was doing the right thing, or even if I was doing a good job in all of the hats I was wearing. What I learned during my journey is that the good news of the truth is even though you are a mother you don’t have to choose between your identity and needs as an individual and your motherhood. You can still be a great mother and go after your dreams just the same because you’re still the woman you’ve always been. That’s what More Than a Mommy! is all about!
Through my social media community, I want to highlight mothers’ inspiring real life stories of entrepreneurship, community service, continuing education, and anything else. I want us to continue to defy the status quo that all things end with motherhood. As a matter of fact, I’ve learned that motherhood is just the beginning!
